yes
Just jack the car normaly as you would if you were changing a rear wheel say.
Then strategicaly place an axle stand on the rear axel.
Make sure it is well centered and on a good flat solid surface.
Lower the weight of the car slowly down onto the axle stand.
(CONSTANTLY KEEPING AN EYE ON IT).
Making sure that it is still in the correct position and has not slipped or moved etc. . .
You should also keep the jack in the same position as it was for jacking and removing the rear wheel, just as a safeguard.
But make sure the weight of the car is on the axle stand and not the jack.
Also stick the wheel under the car along the sill or somewhere underneath close to where you are working.
You will be doing a bit of pulling and taping and the last thing you want is a 1500kg car coming down on top of you.
So the more things you have in place that prevents it from crushing you should it fall the better.
