Hi all.

I've determined that the rear bearings on my car are worn and rumbling and after a bit of tinkering I have discovered that I have stub axle is 30mm and that I have Lucas callipers etc... so have ordered them.

Looking through the procedure it appears quite simple and I have a puller that should get the disc off if it's a bit stuck to save the hammering.

Do I need to pack the bearings with grease or add any oil to them before fitting the dust cap?

Cheers
Jim

You replace the hub which has a sealed bearing fitted.
just make sure you torque it up correctly.
No need for packing of bearing.
Off the top of my head think its 210 nm for rear hub nut.

Excellent, thank you. Just to clarify the torque for the hub nut (as listed in the Haynes manual) is 210nm (approx 155 ft/lbs)?
