Chaps,

As the title suggests, anyone any tips to remove this stuff effectively without scraping the wheel?

Had a couple of new tyres fitted and the old wheel weights location was in full view between spokes. It now looks a bit naff with this super sticky adhesive "foam" still attached.

Cheers.

White spirit and a very light abrasive such as a well worn pan-scrub(those cheap foam ones) usually gets most adhesives off. Never had white spirit react with any surface ive used it on. Scrape as much foam off with a credit card or the like then soak whats left with a bit of spirit for a minute or two.

FYI for anyone that was interested....

Done this job 2nite. It was made very easy by using a plastic razor blade.

I initially used Sticky Stuff Remover and WD40 accompanied by a rough cloth but both had very little effect however, the sticky foam adhesive came right off when challenged with the plastic razor blade 👌🏻

Job done.
