hi all again
I am just about to start the job of replacing all rocker arms and hydraulic lifers on my 2004 Partner 2.0Hdi DW10 engine. Wondering if anyone has done this a few times that has any tips or tricks to save time. I have the Haynes manual (not the clearest of instructions). regarding the cam sprocket removal, it states " rotate the crankshaft anti-clockwise 90 degrees to ensure pistons are halfway up the bore to prevent valve damage" when removing camshaft. Somewhere I have a dial wheel degree gauge goes on half-inch ratchet or bar but can't find it at the moment. Is this 90-degree amount critical? Can I take a good guess?
Any tips would be useful I want to complete this in a day.
Regards Ray
