Hi all any one got any advice for releasing the cables i am replacing the gear selector I've done all inside the car released the cable's from the ball joins on the end. I just cant seem to release the horse shoe clips holding the cables in place near the gear box been trying for an hour now
PLEASE anyone got any tips

undo the 3 13mm bolts and take the bracket off then you can take the whole assembly off and unclip them off the car with better access

I just forced them off before your reply then bent the clips back. Worked ok but still got slight trouble coming out of 5th gear doesn't seem to want to go straight to where i can select 3rd or 4th
