on my new 307 the rear arm was missing.

i ordered a new one to find the hole is too small.

i took the one off my car which fell to bits :( and found the hole to be much bigger

on closer inspection is the bit in the way part of the old wiper arm?

if so whats the best thing to use a grinder?

If part of the old arm is still attached to the spindle then you could try a wiper arm removal tool to pull it off. I'm guessing that the old nut is no longer on.

A picture would show much better than words can describe.

I would think that the aluminium collar from the old arm is still on wiper spindle (common problem). I removed mine buy cutting a slot intothe side of the collar with a junior hacksaw (or dremmel tool) and then splitting it off with a screwdriver in the slot

Had same problem - old arm centre boss still atached to motor spindle.

I cut flats on mine with dremel then simply twisted it off with pliers as section now was thin.

i dont have a dremal. just a small angle grinder

i cut into the metal collar side on all the way round. both collars came off easy enough.

i now have a wiper just waiting for the second one to turn up for the other car
