We have a Peugeot 307 CC 2004. It has only travelled 30000klms which are low klms's and in all other respects is a nice car BUT it has developed a rattle in the boot/roof area which is very annoying. The rattle is only present when the roof is up and fixed in place not when is down as a convertible. It appears to us that it is originating in the area of where the roof meets the boot mechanism allowing the roof to slide into the boot although not 100% sure about that. There are no tell tale rubbing or wear marks that could indicate where this sound is coming from. We have had it into a local panel beaters workshop who made a slight improvement temporarily. We then took it into the local Peugeot dealer here in Christchurch NZ who pulled up a service bulletin for something similar and did this but basically did not solve the problem. When we asked them to have another look they replied "that there was nothing they could do bar put a new roof on"...get real. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thank you JUDY LIDDY
