I bought myself a JVC radio and in the kit was a wire assembley which converted the plugs in to ISO.

However when I turn the ignition off, the radio loses all settings.
Which wire do I need to wire in? Can I take it off the old harness or would I have to get a new feed from the battery?

Just thinking outloud here,
I presume it needs a 12v feed to give it a perm supply of power. Could I get this by taking a feed off the cig lighter feed?

You can do that , but in this way your radio would stay on all the time ( not switching to off when you turn off ignition). The radio has the need for two rails of 12 volts. One ( usually red wire) is the main power supply ( which is conected with the ignition) and another one (usually yellow) which supllies with power exactly the memorised settings of the radio - this you can take from the cig lighter.
Good luck !
