Hi Guys,

Has any one ever replaced their radiator fan?

I have a 2000 diesel 206 without air con and the axel of my radiator fan sheered off the other day, looks like it rusted through or something.

I was thinking about just taking it in to get it done, but the garages are charging me quite a bit, and i'm handy with a spanner, so if it's not too big a job i might do it my self...

At first glance it looks like i might need to lift the whole radiator and mounting out. Does that sound right? Or is there an easier way to do it?

Has anyone on here done it before?

Thanks in advance...

I think it's only the fan and motor, i guess part 1 on your diagram. the housing is undamaged...

I was worried i might have to drain and re-bleed the cooling system to get access though.

p.s. pretty useful image, where did you find it? (if you don't mind me asking)

Peugeot 407 radiator cooling fan sometimes stop working

Peugeot 407 radiator cooling fan sometimes stop working.
This is especially in the night when all lights are on; Or when the temperature is very high outside. In Bahrain the temp can go to 50 degrees C.
