I have a 3008 GTLine 1.2 PureTech 130 with EAT8 from 2019. And I have consumptions between 9 and 10L/100km, trying to do a very controlled driving I can't get below 8.5L/100km.
On the highway the minimum I got was 7.7L/100km driving at 90km/h. My dealer says that the advertised consumptions are never real and that consumptions are normal considering the weight of the car and the engine it has.
Apart from the consumptions present in the car reviews I have no real reference. What are your consumptions?

And by the way, when you start the car, if you have the door open is there a smell of burning fuel inside the car?

A lot depends on your driving style and the sort of journeys.

I f you are doing lots of short journeys from cold starts were the engine never gets properly hot then your fuel consumption will be pretty poor. Also the car is quite large and heavy.

Manufacturers consumption figures are total make believe and only to be ignored as they are done in a test lab and bear no resemblance to realit.

I currently have a Citroen C4 Picasso with the same engine but the EAT6 gearbox and my consumption for urban and some open road driving is about 6.4l/100km, car weighs about the same as the 3008.

I have exact same car as yours (well probably except for the color ) and I can tell you your consumption is too high in my opinion. With short distances (10km) I get around 8.5 l. Highway around 7-7.5 if my average speed is 130-140 km/h. With 90 km/h you should get 5 l. Here in The Netherlands highway speed is now limited to 100km/h (from 07-19h) and with this speed I get around 5.5 l/100km.

I have 5008 with the same engine and consumption on 900 km highway up to 160 km/h,
and everyday work ( i still drive to office) on normal roads. Combined consumption is at the moment7.1 litres/100 km. Measured is 900 kilometers.
I belive i can still lower the consumption regarding cold mornings and winter tyres.
