Pug 308 2014 1.6 hdi got 106k miles Got the car last June done a service oil was bogging and filter then few months later changed fuel filter and done the drive belt yesterday it's quiet a bit on cold start or when you stop for a period of time And you accelerate there's like a wee pull back in the car goes away after half a second but today done the same thing then check engine light came up put my code reader on it came up with a fault code p1166 states manufacture control any idea what's causing this it's booked into the garage next Friday to get looked at thanks

So many potential causes, not to mention potential failure of secondary items causing the first item to misbehave and throw up a fault which can be very misleading. Really need to wait and see until the codes are read with the proper gear.

a changed the drive belt the other day that had lots off wee tiny cracks on it it it's puzzling does it let you upload video?
power for a half a sec or so like it's no getting the right fuel air rational

On my car the wee noise he says it sound like something loose

I would clear all the codes and see which ones return most could be related to poor priming when changing the fuel filter and they could result in you chasing your tail trying to find the fault.

I have heard of everything from a fault fuse box, broken wire , corroded wiring or faulty crank sensor being common causes of similar faults
Just annoying man also think a need a new battery the tester is saying it's yellow and the alternator is green but also flashing red

Could it be if a have a doadgy battery could be throwing those codes up and making. It sound horrible

The same code is showing up once cleared got my own obd scanner and the same code came up that the garage found they don't know the cause
I would do a leak off test next as there is a chance an injector is leaking and dropping fuel pressure.

A second check would be fuel pressure regulator on the pump the o-ring can fail or wear causing it to stick

Ok thanks il get a kit and see if my dad will do it any idea we're the fuel pressure regulator is
Now it's coming up then a cleared . Codes and now it's p2291
