Hi all my power steering pump went on me why I was on the motorway an now need replacing can this be done by your self ? A now it has to be coded in to the car is thay anyone on here that can do it as Peugeot want £900 to read the trip compter then to supply and fit pump and code it in a don't want to be paying that if I can do it myself and have some one code it in for me

I don't think it needs to be coded. It should be a bolt-on bolt-off part and fairly easy to replace

Not that I've done it on a Peugeot - but my Alhambra was easy enough to do

Fitting is easy but it does need to be coded using Planet. I replaced one about 5 years ago and got the friendly local dealer to coded it for 20 euros. That was in the days before I discovered this site. Have a look and see if there is anywhere who can help you on one of the Planet threads or FAQs
