Can anyone tell me if there is a fuse i can pull out to disable the power steering on a 2006 407 coupe.

I have put in 500ml of dexronII in the power steering reservoir as the peugeot dealership was out of stock for the right oil.

Then the following day, the power steering fluid spilled all out mid traffic, and i lost all power steering.

Does this mean my power steering pump has now blown ? Might it still work ?

I want to disable the power steering until i can pinpoint the problem would this be possible ?

I have just spend many thousands on cambelt change, gasket changes, seal changes, pulley changes, new oil pump, new water pump, new shocks and am flat broke, i need to find a way to disable the power steering temporary so i can still drive to work until i have enough to try and solve the power steering if possible ?

Thanks If it is not working anyway, has it already got max damage done, meaning can i just drive like that until i am ready to do the repair or replacement ? Is it possible to repair or will it have to be replaced ?
