Hi all,

I am considering buying a Peugeot 308, 2016 (66 reg),1.6 BlueHDi Allure (s/s) 5dr

Does anyone know if the 2016 308 has Apple Car Play? Or is it possible to update it to do so.

Kind Regards

No it doesn't.

You need the facelifted 308 for those functions as standard.

You can retrofit the facelifted 308s infotainment unit & screen in to an earlier car but its not cheap.

Several of us on here & various other Peugeot forums have already done it ( I've done it to my 308 )

RCC unit is cheapest option but this doesn't have built in sat nav.

NAC unit is more expensive but does have built in navigation.

Either option also requires the touch screen replacing as well plus the unit needs to be configured to your vehicle.

Here's the forum thread:

Thank you for your help. This information is very useful.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge, I’d be grateful if you could answer the below:

What does 308s stand for?
From what year is car play a standard feature on 308 Allure?

Around middle / late 2017 was when the facelift versions appeared - easiest was to tell is look at the fuel filler flap.

Round flap is PRE facelift with a SMEG infotainment unit.

Oblong flap is facelifted with RCC or NAC infotainment unit - these are the ones with Android Auto / Apple car play & Mirror link.
