Hi all!

New to the forum so please excuse if this has been asked before! My 107 has had probably every common fault that you can think of and it's no surprise that it's now got a new one over the holidays! In need of a fix as soon as possible due to work commitments! The mechanic I usually go to is closed until the New Year so I'm just wondering if anyone would know any Peugeot specialists (excluding dealers) in the Bangor/Ards area of Northern Ireland that are open that would be able to run diagnostics? Mate who's a specialist in older cars reckons it definitely needs diagnostics to find the fault.

Many thanks! :)

May be worth describing the fault, while a diagnostic session may help they do not always find the problem.
Where to start...

It's always leaked but they "fixed" that under warranty when first got the car. Since then it's always had a small leak in the boot which looks like it's coming from the rear light casing but it's never been severe. The other day I woke up to find a puddle behind the passenger seat, checked it out, everything looked fine so decided to wait until after the holidays to go to the mechanic.

Yesterday the airbag light started flashing. This is after a few days before all these issues, the horn went off when I pressed the brake pedal - I didn't quite believe it when it happened, only I wasn't alone in the car so am assured it really did happen. So a friend of mine who's a mechanic (but not for Peugeots) took a look and reckons it could be due to the leak but said that it needs to have a diagnostic session ran - they don't have one so couldn't.

I don't think it's the slip ring as I never move the seats but I'm not ruling it out.
I've read online (so I may be wrong) but the horn/brake thing can be related to the airbag problem.
Checked all the connections under the seats and that's not made a difference, the light is still there.

So in answer to your reply, I know diagnostics don't always find the fault, but I don't want to take the car to a garage somewhere that can't run diagnostics and then have to bring it back. I trust the mechanic I know as they've previously found faults and fixed them on another car that others couldn't find and has always done a really good job at a reasonable price. Whilst they've done minor work on the pug before, they don't think they'll be able to fix this. So I'm looking for a Peugeot Specialist that can run diagnostics and is local and open to take a look at it.
