Hi all, hope all is staying safe with this Virus issue across the globe

Let me thank you for all for very informative forums now I do hope one can shed some light on my issue

Purchased a used French Reg
Peugeot PARTNER - 2006 (Monospaces)
1.6 HDI 90 ZENITH

Has over 350,000km on the clock and has been sitting for a few months.

Hubby placed a new fuel filter, oil and air filter.
He checked the timing belt as no visible marking of when changed and aligned up on the Timing marks Cam / Crank and Fuel Pump the belt looked ok as writing was very readable and the timing marks all lines up.

When you turn it over you get one very slight fire then NIL / Just winds over showing no signs of a fire.

Tried Aero Start and same.

Checked the fuse box all ok.

No visible reason NOT to start or as least more than a slight fire then stop.

So at a little loss why not starting,

Past owner said he drove it from New Purchase in 2006 did the KM every day, serviced all the time and was ok when parked up 5 months ago.

Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks in advance

With this Lockdown unable to read codes as Postal is not in delivery here plus no garage is open to ask to borrow an OBD read.

Just adding a few vital points

1 - 1/2 tank Diesel was added
2 - Cracked the Injectors and fuel flow to all when cranked over

Thanks

If it won't fire up with Easy Start, it's probably not the injectors. There's a lot of people with that engine over on the Berlingo Forum, you might try there to see if anyone else has some ideas.

As above it must be a mechanical problem lack of air, compression or blocked exhaust if it won't run on easy start.

Check all the doser and other valves on inlet are not jammed shut. Double check timing and exhaust.

It could also be sticking rings preventing good compression

Update

With lock down in place little hard to get parts but this is the progress.

There is a Beep with key in
Changed fuel filter
checked visual for any leakage in fuel lines
removed the timing belt re timed it all in order

Tried tow starting it
Removed injectors and pressure tested it all ok
Noticed that a lot of residual carbon on injectors when removed cleaned

Tried again normal start !!!!!

As before when you turn on key to start you get one slight fire but not running.
As before when you prime the pump you get hard lines and key it on again and a slight fire then just turns over.

Tried both Aero Start and Towing again just turns over all lights go off when towing in any gear, 2nd 3rd or top.

Still no starting just cranking over (Only hence of a slight kick is when you first key it on to start then just turning over)

So, not thinking it's more than just a simple blockage or fuel line issue......

Comments?????

Hope all is well during these trying times.
