After 1.5 years of owning a 307, the cars are reasonable but the service is shit. I have never met such incompetent City Peugeot technicians and corrupt people that should be charged with Fraud.

Australia is the worst place to purchase a Peugeot car period!!!!!!
Sime Darby Automobiles are hopless there experience, expertise and knowledge are at such low levels that it is of great concern that anyone considering a peugeot in australia should think twice.

Peugeot's are played with indicator problems, transmission flaws, door hinge issues, windows regulators, Computer glitches-that make windows vista seem like an angel, suspension problems, complicated diesel engines that cannot handle a drop of foreign water!!!!, Shit quality malfunctioning cd stackers, break switch malfunctions, plastic trim that stains and fades easily.... so on so on.....:nono: :nono:

Peugeot, NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that's being generous....Prove me wrong, give me 10 positive reasons why I should reconsider, and I will add another hundred negatives going by what I read posted and my own research and experience.

Dont blame the car just coz you had a bad service. Peugeot is a moderately priced car and in this world you get what you pay for.

107 tailgate lights

HI.

I'm new to the forum! cheers for the add!

by any chance does anyone has an idea if the tailgate lights for peugeot 107 (let's says the lexus ones) are the same in the 2 and 4 door models...

i.e. does a set of peugeot 107 4-door model rear lights fit on a 2-door model?

I know it may sound a bit ridiculous :p but it crossed my mind before buying a second hand pair!

thanks!

Even with the top tech from Peugeot Australia they still can not fix it so what hope do I have.

get an old pug, 406 1.9td, run forever ,NEW CARS ARE TRASH WILL NEVER BUY ONE, old pug diesel engines rule, FACT
I would second that - and add that any older model car is probably designed to last longer than it's modern equivalent.

For example - peugeot have sealed wheel bearings. These are designed "to last the life of the vehicle".
Not so long ago, these were seen as replacable units, that were forever getting replaced - on fords for example.

Increasingly - as pointed out over indicators, the things that are likely to fail - e.g. relays, are now hard soldered onto control boards that are bonded shut.
Relay = £6 - control board = £200; motors are sealed units, and many items are bonded or sealed shut. This is particularly apparent on lighting clusters that are now "sealed units" - requiring complete replacement if just one lamp fails.

I on the other hand opt for the original french philosophy of the 2CV - a vehicle produced for the mass market, that can be maintained by most in a field with a few basic hand tools :D

....... Anyone selling a 2CV ?
