307 1.6 sport, petrol 56 plate, 33000 miles
I have an intermittent fault,
It shows up on my scanner as “camshaft sensor position malfunction”
But if I scan the next day, I get no errors showing up
Its been in garage who couldn’t find the fault,
I have it booked in at a Peugeot dealership for a diagnostic on Tuesday
Will that show the fault up? Even tho it doesn’t show on the cars computer
I don’t really want to be spending £84 just to be told they cant find the fault
The fault is getting gradually more frequent

The garage its been in , said it doesnt sound like a camshaft sensor prob
they have put "misfire cylinder 4 needs further investigation" on service reciept

thanks

car judders when i start, but eml goes out, i can sometimes just switch off, and restart and its ok
other times i have to drive away while its juddering, the light then comes on, i switch off, and when i restart its ok

it only used to happen maybe once a week, but its getting more frequent

Im not really posting for an answer to my problem, although ti would be awsome to get one

i just really need to know if a peugeot diagnostic check will pick it up

its harrible not having confidence in your car

its such a nice drive as well

1) Cancel that appointment.

2) Consult the Peugeot Planet map on here and get it done by someone with the Peugeot diagnostic equipment, they'll charge between £10 and £20 and give you the same information as Peugeot.

Your prerogative I suppose, but you were the one who said:

Because that's what will happen.

We just find it easier on here to find a fellow Pug enthusiast with no ulterior financial motive to give you the same advice as Peugeot but for a fraction of the cost, and without the issue of throwing new parts on the car until its fixed, as some on here who've been to Peugeot have found.

At least if you got it diagnosed from someone on here and it had to go to Peugeot for the repair, at least you've saved at least £60 which will go towards their labour costs.
