Hi everyone.

I recently got a 806 1.9 turbo diesel "1998". After replacing the cylinder head and one or two outher thing's. When i go to start it you have to keep your foot on the accelerator pedal when starting it from cold. Which takes some time but when it does start it sound's like a tractor from the 1950's. And it doesnt go away the timing is spot on. So could do with a little help with this problem.
Thank's.

Peugeot 806 starting problem!

Thank's for your reply i'll try that and get back to you with the result's.
I was also told that the fuel pump could be to far advanced. but that's not a job i want to be doing cause it's murder to get to one of the adjustment bolt's.
The glow plug's are ok. I found out why it's bad to start first thing, this is a old school diesel you have to wait for the glow plug light on the dash to go out first before trying to start it.
Still has an anoying top end rattle though all the time.
