Looking at getting a new 5008 but am confused about the rear lights. My showroom sales exec says they are normal light bulbs, but I have read somewhere they were LEDs. Looking at the rear internal panels there doesn't appear to be any easy way of getting to the light cluster to change the bulbs, if thats what they are, so I hope they are LEDs. Any ideas?

They're a combination. UK Vehilce Lighting Regs don't allow LEDs for indicatorsn for example, but do for tail, side and headlamps.

Do the last shape 3 series not have led indicators on the M3? You aren't allowed led fog lamps either.

Alas, no. It's supposed to be excellent all round, and being derived from the 308 should give it a dose of tried and tested reliability.

I was thinking I might go for one myself, but having seen the shots of the 508 I think I may hang on a bit.

Thanks for reply Chopper. Looking at the 1.6 diesel version. Heard this engine has been around for a while and goes on forever. What do you think?

Cheers
