Hello, I have had my 308 for around 1 year and it has always had the engine management light on and the service light on. We have changed the drive belt and the cooling fan. The car runs fine and it hasn’t caused any issues but it would be great to get rid of the light and the warning? Any ideas? Thanks

Put the correct diagnostic tool on the car (Diagbox), and read the fault codes. Clear the codes, reset the service light and see if the symptoms return. Read the codes again, and then address them. If you need more help, come back here, say which engine you have, and post the faults.

As the service light was on, does the car need servicing?

It will need servicing but I was avoiding it until I could get the engine Fault to go away. When you says use diagbox I don’t have any diagnostic tools. Is it only Peugeot garage which has the correct diagnostic tools?

Almost any EOBD code reader will tell you the fault codes, and most will also reset them so the light goes off. Local motor parts place offers this service for £10.
