Hi I am looking at buying a 308 1.6 e-hdi 2012 plate with 78000 miles, the garage have replaced the clutch but not the flywheel. Should this be of concern? Do the flywheels last longer than the clutch on this model?

I found my flywheel died at 104k but the clutch was still ok

All depends and no mileage is guaranteed

This post caught my attention.

What are the symptoms of a DMF starting to fail as opposed to a clutch?
Never had a car with a dual mass flywheel before so just curious to know as I've read they can be problematic

Thanks to advise

When under heavy power the car seemed to jump into neutral for a second is one like you momenterely hold the clutch for a second

Thanks Monty, that actually makes sense from how I understand they work - momentum momentarily interrupted (y)

There’s a big spring inside the flywheel when they wear they give issues but not as much as the internet says lol

Flywheels can outlast clutches if driven gently but in all honesty in my experience its the flywheel that fails before the clutch is worn out would never do a clutch without a flywheel unless it was my own car and i was on a budget

Having said that i think you may find it has a solid flywheel as standard
