I have an issue with my Peugeot 307 some days (every 2-3 days) when I start the car and pull off I lose all power and the engine stops (I get about 20 meters before this happens)

The fix I have found is to open the bonnet and remove the black square HDI 1.6 cover and there is a pump that looks like a blood pressure thing.

If I give this about forty squeezes and then start the car it starts after holding the key all the way around for about 20 seconds and then no more issues for another few days.

During the few days its working there is literally no issues with the car at all it works perfectly its just playing up on engine start and only on some days.

Any hints welcome

:)

Air leak in fuel system somewhere mate, that is the hand primer you are squeezing.
Start with replacing fuel filter but use genuine.
Check all injector piped for signed of damage and check tightness of connecting nuts on both ends of pipes.
start there and see what happens.
