hi all, i have a peugeot 307 2L hdi 130hp 2004

i am trying to sell my car and halfway through a problem has started :nono:

when my ac is turned on there is a clicking noise ever minute or so, when i look at the ac compressor the clutch is engaging then about 10 seconds later it lets off, this happens continously until i turn off the ac

i have removed the connections to the compressor and connected direct to a battery and the clutch engages and stay in place so im pretty sure the compressor is ok

does anyone know what else could be the problem?

thankyou for any help provided :D

The symptoms you describe indicate low refrigerant.
Regassing should fix it if it is the case.
I can't see how the other repairs you made would have any affect, unless somehow you damaged an a/c line or fitting.
