Hi new to this site but could someone please help me.
When I bought the car last month I changed the radio but found that somebody had cut off the connector off the aerial that plugs into the back of the radio making it void. I have got a temporary windscreen aerial but ideally would like to replace it for either a genuine or after market roof aerial. Could anyone give me any suggestions on what I should purchase but also how I could remove the old aerial and wiring and also how to retrace it back in the car.

Thanks in advance

If there is enough of the lead behind the radio it might be better to source a replacement plug and connect it to what's left of the cable. If that's not an option I would source an aetial from a breakers yard to replace the one that in.

It's likely you would need to remove the roof lining to replace it though as the cable will likely be fed through cable tidies along the inside edges of the roof.

Thanks storeman. Not enough lead unfortunately will get up the breakers tomorrow. Is it a easy job to get off the roof lining
