I've got a Peugeot 306 1.4 petrol, 2001, with absolutely no keys.
Went to a dealer, they said it would have costed about hundred euros but they run out of transmitter keys, so they cannot help. They can give me a key code though if I come with all the documents to them. Would that help at all?
So, what are my options?
1. Replacing all the locks from another 306 - yes, I can. Which years cars apart from 2000 would be a suitable donor? Also what do I do with immobiliser/ecu, does it have to be from a donor car as well? How does it look like and where is it fitted?
2. Getting the key code from a dealer and making a replacement transmitter key privately? Do you know anyone in Spain who can do that at a reasonable costs?
3. Getting a key cut by a dealer without the transmitter and disabling the immobiliser entirely. No one will steal this old car, I am sure. Can I somehow disable the immobiliser, is there a good video or article how to do it?

I owned a 306 from the same manufacture date. The car came with one fob key and one standard key both keys would start the car. Both the fob key and the standard key had a transponder chip for the immobiliser which is separate to the transmitter. If the dealer is able to supply a standard key it will start the car. All you will lose is the ability to remotely lock and unlock the doors.

Once you get a standard key you may be able to get a key with the fob buttons from a locksmith.

I bought a key for my 307 from an AliExpress seller who was able to cut a key from a photo of an existing key. The problem with that approach is you need someone with the Peugeot diagnostic tool who can program it. It may be worth your while getting a Peugeot diagnostic tool. They are not that expensive - see #113 of Peugeot Planet - buying, installing, using

I have attached a page from the 01/01/2002 to 30/06/2002 handbook (the only one I can find). This explains about keys and the PIN. When you program a new key with the Peugeot tool you need the PIN. This is what the dealer is offering to supply.

Thank you. But the way, do you have the full handbook and ideally a repairs manual please?
Peugeot handbooks that are available can be found at INFOTEC - Service Box Peugeot

There is a Haynes manual for the 306 which you should still be able to buy. You can also get installable copies of Peugeot Servicebox - see #22 of Service Box no longer free?. This software needs to be installed on a PC (usually 64 bit Windows 10) that can support a virtual machine (VMware). Most PCs can but run virtual machine software such as VMware but the facility is often turned off in the BIOS. Servicebox has all the wiring diagram, parts lists and some procedures.
