I know this is my first post, but I could not find a solution.

I have a smeg 3.0.j.r7 with 4GB storage in a Peugeot 208 from 2012.
As this is not very much I opted to enlarge it.
The cheapest solution was a 32GB Sandisk class 10 uSD card.

I removed the SMEG unit from the car, put the original uSD card in a reader and made an image with Win32 Disk Imager.
I put that image on the new uSD card, enlarged the partition with Minitool Partition Magic to the full size.
Then I put the uSD card back into the unit, and the unit back in the car.
But now it requests a stick to update the maps.
No navigation at all, and after the notification only a dark screen with the time and the radio.

So, I removed the new card, put the old card back in.

But I still get the message: "Insert Map stick" and "Maps too old".
(After I put in the USB drive I used to update the maps (v.115) last week)
I cannot reach the navigation menu, or any menu at all.
Only the radio works.

I've been back and forth between the car and my computer 15 times, trying different formatting of the drive etc.
The other topics/websites that mention replacing the uSD mention 3 partitions, I only have one, I checked multiple times, one with a weird title: 53_0_120405 FAT32.

Is an update from 3.0.j.r7 to 3.21.A.R1 possible without callibration, and would that solve this problem?

Is there someone who can save me a trip to the dealer and spending a lot of money getting this fixed?
Would be much appreciated!
