I own a Peugeot 207 GT 2007 model with the THP 1.6 liter engine.Yesterday it started to display the brake fault light / power steering / directional headlights / stop lights and my speedometer doesn't work. The problem started sporadically but now it is constant. I have changed my battery , checked the fuse box for corrosion but nothing. One month ago i had a problem with a fuse that kept burning and was throwing off my turbo and all of it's components ( dump valve etc. ) But after about 20 fuse changes in 2 hours the problem stopped and no warning lights until yesterday. My dealer doesn't know what it is that can be causing all the problems including deppolution systems faulty and I can't seem to find what causes all the problems. As I found out it is time to change my timing chain and that I think is a reason for the deppolution system but what about the rest ???
My theories that i really can't explain all the symptoms are the following :
1. ABS / ESP ECU is damaged but what about the lights and the steering.
2. Engine ECU damaged.
3. Fuse box Damaged although it has no obvious damage from corrosion or water.
4. Wire loom has a cut somewhere.
I would be really glad to get some guidance on where to look for problems.
