Hi, I'm doing a head gasket job on my Peugeot 207 1.4 8v and when I took the head off I noticed a little round cylinder almost the same shape as one of the rollers does anyone have any clue where this goes??? Thanks?

that sounds like one of the head dowels, used to locate the head onto the block.

If you look at the underside of the head and find a hole it's a snug fit with then look at the mating face of the block. You should see a matching hole, usually with a recessed lip for the dowel to sit on.

Hope this helps, if not, a pic would help confirm. :thumb:

Hi thanks for your reply unfortunately it doesn't seem to fit snug anywhere I will attach a pic to help determine where it's from, also as I did not use locking pins will I just need to put the locking pin in when the head is back on and line the marks on the crank shaft
