I changed the head gasket on my Peugeot 207 2007 1.4 16v KFU in March earlier this year and at least managed to get it road worthy enough to pass its mot and do 3000 miles since then however has ran rough and idled high through that time.
Now I’ve decided I’ve had enough so have been trouble shot the issue. The obd2 reader came up with these issues.

Firstly in a recent MOT I got the car fully serviced and so it’s not bad or low oil.
Next I replaced the Variable Timing Control Solenoid as it the grills on it looked a little beaten up.
I am now confused on what I should do next...
Is it worth taken off the timing belt to recheck the timing? Any other help you can give would be super helpful!
Thanks
George

I'm not familiar with KFU engine, but can't you just take the timing cover off and manually turn the crankshaft pulley to its timing mark? No need to remove the timing belt for checking only.

But I'm not sure if having variable timing makes that inspection impossible.
