So recently I have purchased a cheap £70 Peugeot 206 to race around my local overall track. Unfortunately it is only the 1.1 version, so it is a little slow for me (I am used to racing faster cars). Due to the small engine size, there isn't really any race formulas I can race it in either.

I've been doing some thinking, and I've decided I want to do an engine swap. I have the knowledge and all the tools to get this done...I was thinking about installing a 1.6 VTR engine? I've been doing some research and I've read that this engine will bolt straight in. I can pick up a VTR engine for cheap, and I already have the brakes, suspension, ect to go with it.

Is there any other engines I could use that will bolt straight in? I know about the 2.0 Peugeot engines, but an engine that big will put me in the hotrod class, and I already have a Vauxhall Nova hotrod (2.0), so ideally I would like the Peugeot to be in a different race class/formula.
