Hello, I have a Peugeot 106 with the diesel 1.5 ltr engine that have around 266.000 Km. This car has been failproof over the years, but now is having some strange problem that I suspect is related to the diesel pump.
Only happens when cold.... see this vídeo on Youtube:
"Peugeot 106 1.5D (TUD5) crazy rpm when cold" (unable to put link due to post count :()

After around 5 minutes, the car starts to behave normally. There is no smoke from the exhaust before or after.

What do you think?.... Pump or injectors?.... or other thing?....

Thanks in advance :)

Ok, just to let you know that I found the problem..... air was entering into the fuel lines through the fuel filter base..... it has a hole in it with like a plastic cap that was leaking.... I put some red high temp silicone in it and now all seems ok. For some reason the engine used to work fine when warm, despite the air ingress, maybe due to the engine needing less fuel when warm.....
Regards.
