I usually take the 12v permanent straight from the battery with a 15 amp in line fuse. I see there is a permant 12v, on when car is awake, has anyone used it as a 12v supply? Thanks

If you are wanting to use the pin with permanent 12 volt inside a caravan you can't due to the wiring inside the caravan something to do with the relays.
The other 12 volt pin with the engine running feeds the fridge and charges the caravan battery.

On the loom in the car. The plug that attaches to the peugeot towbar electric kit has a permanent 12v when key is in the ignition. Can this 12v be used on a teb7as relay?

I assume you are fitting a 7 pin towing socket, not a 13 pin one or the supplementary 7 pin one.
You need a 12v supply to power the bypass relay.

Yes, I believe that supply will be fine.
