Hi Folks, first go. I have been trying to get some understanding of OBD so I can diagnose/remove an engine fault, (which seems to run superbly). After lots of reading I ordered a device which should have been able to read, clear DTC, etc. (VGATE VS-890), or so I thought. When it constantly provided 'link error' when connected I made enquiries and was told the Tepee is considered a van and not OBD2 protocol, if this is true what basic diagnostic devise would achieve my objectives?
I know why I love the simplicity of my 2CV special! Thanks.

Alll engines use obd or obd2.
Being a van makes no difference!
Send unit back as clearly a waist of money.
