Greetings from Palma de Mallorca.
I just bought an old Peugeot Partner. 2002 - on the registration, searching for spares seems to indicate a couple of years older...
It seems to go quite well.
Neither the speedo nor the rev counter were working. Mechanic said, try changing the instrument panel.
So I got a used (well, obiously :·) one and changed it. Not a difficult job.
The rev counter worked. The speedo did not.

So I thought, just my luck. Got another one. Same result.
I'm beginning to think that there's something else wrong with the speedo. Now, it's electronic, not mechanical, so it must be some kind of sensor, probably on the gearbox.
Where is it? What is the spare part? Is it hard to change?

The (Spanish) registration gives:
Type: 5*WJZ*
Variant: 5FRHYE
Type of engine: D-RHY (1997 cc.)

The instrument panel looks like this:
93390

Thanks in advance for any help.

Oh, and a funny one that has me totally puzzled.
The original panel reported some 200'000 km.
The first one I bought, some 530'000.
The second one... reports exactly the same mileage (kilometrage? ;·) 532'220.
 | So I thought, what an idiot. I must have swapped... the same one. Not likely, but... hey. So I carefully re-swapped it... same exact mileage.
I mean, what are the chances. Or is there another possible explanation?
