I am looking for advice on changing the instrument cluster bulbs. Have taken out the cluster but see no bulbs visible. Do I have to remove the black plastic frame that is screwed to the back of the cluster. There are 4 white pieces that I presume are the position of the bulbs but don’t want to disturb this frame in case I am wrong.
Thanks in advance for any help

Update

I have dismantled what I can of the instrument cluster and the white parts are the control of the needles of the speedo etc. It looks like the lights are part of the back panel and not replaceable. What would be the cause of these showing very low light in the dials.

Hi, I'm guessing you probably have a little wheel for adjusting your headlight aim there's usually another wheel beside it that acts like a dimmer switch fof the dashboard lights which if it's been moved would cause the issue you've described.

Also since about 2000 most manufacturers have used LED's instead of bulbs in instrument clusters.

Hope this helps
