Hi everyone,

First time posting, am hoping for some advice.

I have a 2lt 2005 407 and got an error msg saying "particle filter additive level too low".
I have since topped this up with 2 cartons of the fluid and the msg is still there which leads me to believe I probably need to get the filter sorted.

Main dealer said this will cost me approx €800,
Would anyone have any suggestions if this type of job can be done at home or if it is possible to get a non main dealer to do it?
I am in Southern Ireland.

Thanks everyone.

You have to tell the car it's been topped up via planet.

Oh right! I just assumed there would be some sort of sensor thing that would sence it was topped up and the error msg would go! Any idea how much a dealer would charge me for doing this?

cck2k9 - would love those details if you can find them. I think the particle filter deffo has to be done, its really holding back the car.

Thanks again,
