Hi Guys, I knew this car had this fault when I bought it and now I am looking into the cost of rectifying it.

The panoramic roof cover operates fine in as much as it goes forward and back as dictated by the rotating control switch position.

However only about 12 inches of the actual cover moves. The rest appears to be separated from the 12inches in question and is stuck within the roof :thumb:

The car is a 2005 407 2.2 SE

Can anyone advise if there is a quick fix for this or how much it would cost to get it fixed?

Many Thanks

Marv

A very very nasty job. The whole roof headlining has to come out including the whole sliding pieces.
I have done two of these. absolute nightmare.

Is it just Labour David and if so what sort of approx price are we talking or hours to do the job?

Definitely a full days work. its very intricate. The headlining has come out. All the panels along the sides have to come off. The whole sliding screen mechanism has to come out. Then most likely the clips that hold the screen sections together have broken.
