I've put a nasty dent in my 407 driver's door and my preferred body shop says it's better to get a new (used part) door. I'm familiar with using part-finder sites and eBay to locate parts, but as I'm in no real hurry, I'd like to find one that's the same colour as this will make the respraying an easier job.

How do I find a paint colour reference number I can use to specify this when I search for the part and/or check with the supplier?

Car's a 2005 407SW

Would not the colour code be on the inside frame of your said drivers door. Usually the plate that identifies tyres and pressures, towards the bottom of the plate is a 4 lettered code. For example mine is EZWD which is Iron Grey.
Hope this is some help to you.
