Hi guys

A couple of weeks ago, the EML light came on with a message on the multifunction display: engine fault, repair needed..., however, the car drives fine.
I plugged in PP2000 and the diagnostic came up with fault code P2033: catalytic converter downstream temperature signal.
I cleared the fault but two weeks later it came back on, and it's the same fault code...
Is this saying I need to change the lambda sensor?
Is downstream the sensor after the cat or before? ( starting from the engine )

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Ok. Your reader is generic I take it. Basically its pointing at the dpf temp sensor. Check the connector on it first.

Hi
It's the genuine PP2000 diagnostic tool.
Where is the dpf temp sensor?
I thought exhaust downstream sensor was the O2 sensor measuring the oxygen passing the exhaust...?
