It's now 2 months and 3000 miles of, mostly, pleasurable motoring but I've still not got to the bottom of this fault code.
Had it since I bought the car, previous owner claimed he had replaced the EGR valve and it merely needed to be re programmed to the car.
This theory was backed up by an independent Citroen specialist, but he reckoned that he didn't have the software to do it and had to be a main stealer job.
Other experts are saying not the case but this, apparently, is the reason EML is on.馃
Anyone here come across this issue?

If its an RHK engine then it will self learn no need to program its just 1 of the many myths floating around like injectors being coded.

Having said that if the replacement EGR is not an original but a cheap pattern then they tend not to work very well.

A citroen specialist that does not have software to reset it or the knowledge that its not necessary is not a specialist :)

Thanks, that is probably the most reliable answer I have had so far.馃

I think the myth is propagated further by the word "programming" appearing in the fault code description馃
The Citroen" specialist" admitted to not liking the EV2 vehicles, having had nothing but difficult experience with them over the years and avoided dealing with them. I guess he was happy to do an oil change and check it over, and then never see it again...
Should I be looking into replacement of the valve with a better quality one as the only solution?....

As is usual your only telling us some info in so much as the fault code and what it relates to and the engine light being on is it actually affecting the car ?

Some people read a fault code and want it gone at all costs even though it does not affect the car !!

This is the code that puts the engine management light on. Sometimes it drives like a dream, others it struggles up hill and uses too much fuel. This code is the common denominator. DPF wasn't regenerating, but it is now approx every 400km.
According to FAP app and Lexia, it runs cool and no.2 injector overfuels on tickover.
I'm living quite happily with it but would like it not to fail mot 馃槣

If No 2 injector is overfueling at idle then you can bet its overfueling all the time this wont do your DPF a lot of good.

Sounds like it may be a cheap pattern EGR as i said already these tend not to work well

Hey, thanks for the prompt reply!
As you might be able to see on the attached screenshot, burbling along 1500-2000rpm, all the injector readings are similar. There is fluctuation but no2 is, by far, the widest.
So, what might be causing that and how might I resolve it?

So your basing your assumption of overfueling on flow corrections forget that they mean nothing they are only telling you how hard the injector is working not how much fuel is flowing.

So, I don't need to worry about a significantly higher number, highlighted in red?

Problem is we dont really know how accurate your diagnostic gear is we are used to planet/diagbox readings but the highlighted in red number is simply the battery voltage and thats not that high

We appear to be at cross purposes. I thought we were talking about injector 2 over fueling, or not, and trying to work out how to make the car run even better.
I'm happy with the battery and sorry if I am too stupid

What about doing a leak off test of the injectors? Plenty of vids on Youtube on how to do it. Think the diagnostics is making life more complicated than it need be.

I did not say your stupid the image above my post showed the battery highlighted not injector as i say flow corrections dont really tell you much as there is a wide range of acceptable and if you were using planet it tells you the range they should be in yours are all within range.

As i already said the EGR may well be incompatible a leak off test is hard on these engines due to spill pipe locations.

It may not be overfueling at idle. The figure shown is the correction needed to maintain correct torque figure at idle. Injector spray pattern cylinder wear and valve sealing all affect the efficiency of the cylinder and can affect the correction value

Well, it's now over 6000 miles of almost pleasurable motoring.
I have replaced the thermostat, so it now runs at correct temperature, flushed out the dpf and checked the special fluid.
It regenerates approx every 500km.
However, the above fault code still appears which puts the EML on.
Recently, fuel consumption has increased, I thought having it running at correct temperature would help but not.
