We went out for a ride around on Wednesday.

Nice and bright and sunny.

We went through Lutterworth then branched off to Peatling Parva, Peatling Magna then on to Countesthorpe and back down through Willoughby Waterleys, Ashby Magna, Gilmorton and back through Lutterworth.

A nice little run through the countryside.

However, when we approached Cotesbach on the A426 the heavens opened for 5 minutes.

The muck off the oncoming lorries was unbelievable.

We got to our home and the car was covered in mud and diesel from front to back. It was so bad I had to give it a good wash and dry immediately then go over it with Meguiar's Quik Detailer.

On Thursday we stayed at home as I did a good going over with Meguiar's Ultimate Wax.

It's all spotless again now but it's amazing the amount of work a 5 minute downpour can create!

We were going to go up to Ashbourne and around Dove Dale. I'm pleased we decided to go on a shorter run else I wouldn't have been able to look through the windscreen!!

Any other suggestions for a nice run out?.....I'll go when there's no rain forecast though!
