Hi,
I have a 2017 Peugeot 308 Allure, 1.6 BlueHDI 120hp. Last time I visited service for 45k KM periodical maintenance oil spec changed from 0w30 to 5w30.
I was using Total 0w30 until now but the Service informed me that Peugeot advise 5w30 from now on.
I have used many cars, I have always used the oil advised by the manufacturer but this is the first time I see a oil spec change.
This may be because of the geographical reasons, but I have never heard before.
Is there anyone who knows why and have you ever seen an oil spec change during car's lifetime?
Best regards,
