Just use the correct size socket (27mm or 32mm can't remember which one?) undo it,simple?
Replace the paper filter element and "O" ring and tighten up.Remember the filter housing is plastic so treat it with care and do not over tighten it.

It's a 27mm. If it's been overtightened before then you may want to get a new top first as you may damage the current one undoing it. I would stick the socket on and extension bar and then give it a short sharp tap in the anticlockwise direction with a hammer, that may get it shifting.

Plenty of WD40 around the housing first should loosen up any crud which may not be helping move it.

And when you do give it some force, do it when you know the scrappers or dealers are open if you need to buy a spare part! There's nothing worse than breaking something in the middle of a Sunday afternoon!
