Having a bit of trouble with the oil on my 207 2006 1.4 petrol
Sometimes when I start the engine up it says oil — on dash
When I check the oil everything seems ok
5 minutes later in then says oil ok on dash
Is this a regular error for these cars?
Had it happen a few times and engine oil light has never come up
Really confuses me
Any advice would be much appreciated

Electronic sensors not the most reliable,,much better to use old school method of using the dipstick

Possible oil level is to high causing a fault which is leaves a blank line on the display.

Once oil level drops from engine running and oil not having time to drain back level is ok

So the blank line on display means the oil level is to high?
Always thought that means it’s to low
Will keep an eye on it and keep checking it the next few days

I agree just replaces the engine coolant sensor as it thought my engine was about to explode 😂

I'm sure on the daughter old 207 it said oil nok for low level and dash was fault
