I am fixing a broken clock spring on a comms 2000 unit and having driven the car for well over a year am embarrased to have to ask but how many times round does the steering wheel turn from center to full lock/left lock to right?

I am guessing its 2.5 turns each way but would rather not have to do this again in a weeks time so thought I would consult the masses :)

Its not do bad of a job and will throw together a write up on the procedure as I couldn't find one specifically for the 'squib' on the newer comms 2000 units :)

Best regards

Having repaired the clock spring I have ascertained that there is 5 free revolutions between the tightening/expanding tension. 1/2 a turn to get it back to center so am aiming for 1.5-2 turns either way.

If it all works as it should, and it all seems to have been pretty straight forward I will put a write up for future reference :)

Best regards
