I noticed on my 15 plate 308sw that leaving the brightness on auto for day and night it will swap them so it's bright during night and dark during day.. Any ideas on that?

Just updated to the latest firmware as of December 2017..

You can choose the colours, brightness for day and night to suit your preferences in screen settings.

Try to adjust on the screen and with button near the left dial. Manual page 31:
Instrument panel
With the exterior lighting on, press this button
to adjust the brightness of the dashboard
lighting, the touch screen and the mood
lighting. As soon as the lighting reaches the
required level of brightness, release the button.
Touch screen
 Press on the "Configuration" menu.
 Adjust the brightness (only on the
touch screen) by pressing on the " + "
or " - " buttons.
