I have tried an early version, 7.57, tried the ebay version 9.15. Takes a while to download. one was .z7 file, which i downloaded the extractor and WinRaR. But I dont know what im doing. Normally files are .exe and have a setup wizard to guide through the unpacking process, almost click and go. The eBay item is Diagbox Lexia Citroen Peugeot Opel/Vauxhall Diagnostics PSA 2023 | eBay which gave me the following link

Thank you for purchase. Please see download link below. Copy and paste to the browser. Link will be valid for 7days.If you need more time, just let me know. Content is packed by winrar. Install instruction included.

IMPORTANT
1. Turn off antivirus/windows defender on installation time
2. Extract downloaded file to root c:
3. Follow video instruction

The version you bought on eBay is direct install version designed to run directly on a 64bit Windows operating system.
The direct install versions of Diagbox 7.xx only run on 32 bit windows operating systems. To get around this several people have created a complete image of their system including all applications and operating systems. This image is known as a virtual machine. To run a virtual machine you need to install VMware*. When I open VMware on my Windows 10 machine I get the screen shown below. On the left side it lists the virtual machines I have installed which are 7 different VMs. If for example I click on Diagbox V7.58 it loads Windows XP - see second image below.

* Some virtual machines use Oracle Virtual Box instead of VMware but these are less common.

Unfortunately mine doesnt give me the option to 'extract to'
Perhaps you need to use YouTube, and learn how to use the program or read the documentation, I hear it's good but I've never needed to.

Extract to is up the top. There are two options in the pull-up you could have used, right in front of you. And you can enter the archive and then extract as well.

Another option (is not to use the program dialogue box)
If you exit, the program and in explorer, go to the file location, right click, WINRAR then extract to *'diagbox 9.68free', it will create the directory and extract the files.
*'' whatever the default name of the files is, becomes the directory name.

Sure, there are more methods... command line, etc.

Hope you find this useful.

It looks like you have opened the application WinRAR. I usually select the folder using Windows Explorer and right click the file. However, if you want to proceed as you are doing select "Extract to specific folder". I suggest you create a folder on your desktop first so you know where it is.

I've downloaded the VMware workstation. But i get a different view of the opening menu. View attachment 118356

Not sure how to extract the file from WinRar to here?

Thanks

David
It looks like you have downloaded the latest VMware Workstation instead of the old VMware Player 17. I not familiar with this version of VMware but I suspect it is the similar to the Mac version (VMWare Fusion) I use. Once you have extract the Virtual machine files to a folder as I described. Open VMware Workstation and select File- Open and navigate to the folder containing the virtual machine.

Note Player 17 is no longer available from VMware. Their new owner Broadcom have made the more advanced version VMware Workstation free instead but if you want Player RedSector found a download link at Downloading VMware Player 17.0.2 Build 21581411 from FileHorse.com

Well, the AA have been and cannot find the problem. The engineer just said it's a wiring fault somewhere. Am now waiting for the recovery vehicle to come and take me to a local AA linked garage for a diagnosis. Bank holiday weekend here so nothings going to be done till Tuesday I expect.

I'll update here when I have any further news.

Thank you all for your help so far.

Hi all,

Progress report........... nothing unfortunately. 2 different garages and no one knows what the issue is. I have to tow it back from the 2nd garage tomorrow. Very tedious indeed.

I think we got bogged down on installing Diagbox rather than addressing the problem. I think we need to go back to your original diagbox result diagnostic code: P0215 - Main relay - Poor operation of relay. Do you have a multimeter?

I think we got as far as checking the BPGA. What I want to do is go back to #10 of this discussion and check relay R1 in the engine fusebox (PFS1). This relay provides power to fuse F30 and is the main supply to the engine ECU. The problem I had last time is I couldn't identify fuse 30 on the fuse box diagram. It is a 30A fuse but there are three 30A fuses next to each other. There should be a marking on the fusebox but if not if you turn the ignition on only one of the three should have power. The other two are the air-conditioner compressor and the starter motor solenoid. What I want you to do is measure the voltage at F30 with the ignition on. If you are not sure which is F30 measure at all three.

Can you also post a photo of the engine fuse box PFS1.
