New Service Schedule implies that Peugeot/Stellantis have fixed the wet timing belt issue

First photo shows outdated oil grade and specification and also includes "Check the timing belt width" as part of the service schedule.

The second photo shows the new oil grade and specification but no longer includes the "Check the timing belt width" item.

I interpret this to mean they believe that they have fixed the wet timing belt issue or else they would not have removed this check item.

Am I being too hopeful? Does anyone have more information?

Wet belt 'as an idea' are, and always has been, a 'crap' engineering idea.
Totally agree but my thread isn't about that.
This thread is just an observation that they have removed the "Check the timing belt width" item on the check list suggesting that they feel there is no need to do this any more.
This led me to my conclusion that they feel they have fixed the wet timing belt problem and I was wondering if any one else had noticed the removal of this item from the check list.

Of course it all depends upon the new oil grade and specification being used so I also thought to bring it to the attention of those people who are not aware of the new oil grade/spec.
