Hi guys. I've just bought a 2012 expert 2.0 with 63k on it.

I've got a couple of questions. The clutch pedal seems pretty hard considering it's not that old, it's a lot heavier than my 10 year old transit with 120k on it. Is this normal for these vans?

The gear leaver seems a little sloppy as well, are there any bushes that can be replaced to make it feel more positive.

Lastly, I've been told it has a SMF, the is a vibration when I take up drive would this be caused bh the solid fly wheel?

I have 2010 expert with 191k, clutch has always been a bit on the heavy side but never had enough to cause concern. It was light for a couple of days after new clutch was fitted but soon returned to "normal".
Mine has dual mass, as I thought they all did but I may be wrong, I know they can be converted to smf but there's pros and cons to it. I have had 3 dm flywheels and 4 clutches in it over 150k but do a lot of stop start town driving. My selector is quite sloppy too, I think there is a bush/bearing on top of the box that can be changed and looking at my selector there is wear evident on the outside too. Mine seems tight on left to right movement but sloppy on the up & down movement. Again, never caused me an issue and has been like it for some time.
